TEL HI’s adult programs counteract the stresses of everyday life. High-quality, low-cost classes help people and families feel healthy and connected. Over 140 adults participate regularly, and similar to other age groups at TEL HI, the adults come from a wide range of ethnic groups and cultures. The current class schedule includes Zumba, yoga, and Aztec dance and drumming. (See? Even our exercise programs are culturally diverse.)
A Beacon of Activity
Our adult programs are offered in conjunction with the San Francisco Beacon Initiative, a public-private partnership that transforms public schools into youth and family centers. TEL HI was chosen to manage North Beach-Chinatown Beacon Center, which gives us a way to reach even more people who may need our services.
