TEL HI Partners With Mission Bay Elementary School

May 14, 2026

TEL HI is proud to announce that we have been selected to operate the after-school program at the new Mission Bay Elementary School beginning in the 2026–2027 school year. This exciting opportunity reflects our growing role as a leader in youth programming across San Francisco. Following a thoughtful and competitive selection process led by the Mission Bay Steering Committee, TEL HI was chosen among many highly qualified organizations.

“We are proud to have been selected as the after-school provider for Mission Bay Elementary School. This partnership is especially meaningful to us because we are deeply invested in the Mission Bay community. With 61 children currently enrolled in our childcare center, many of whom will eventually matriculate to Mission Bay Elementary, this opportunity allows us to support families through a true continuum of care,” said Nestor L. Fernandez II, TEL HI CEO.  “At TEL HI, we have seen firsthand what’s possible when that continuity exists—from children in our preschool program growing, thriving, and ultimately walking across the stage to receive their high school diploma. This is the kind of long-term impact we are committed to building in Mission Bay.”

With over 50 years of experience, TEL HI is a trusted partner for schools seeking impactful, community-centered programming. Today, we serve elementary students across multiple schools, operate the Beacon Program at Francisco Middle School, lead a comprehensive high school program at Galileo Academy of Science and Technology, and operate the Mission Bay Early Childhood Education Center on Pierpoint Lane. Our continued growth, including this new Mission Bay Elementary School partnership, demonstrates our ability to successfully launch and sustain high-quality programs that meet the needs of diverse communities.

This marks an exciting expansion of TEL HI’s work, bringing high-quality, engaging after-school programming to the Mission Bay community while fostering strong relationships with students, families, and school partners. As we continue to grow, we look forward to partnering with schools and organizations to build impactful youth programs that allow young people to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
