Mission Bay Childcare Ribbon Cutting Ceremony Marks A Big Milestone For TEL HI
August 9, 2021
Mayor London Breed Cut The Ceremonial Ribbon For TEL HI’s New Childcare Center in Mission Bay!
On July 27, TEL HI staff and Board Members realized their dream of expanding the Early Childhood Education program to serve families and children in neighborhoods where quality childcare is needed most. TEL HI is now in three districts in San Francisco, providing programs and services for thousands of children, families and individuals in the city!
After years of hard work and planning, TEL HI welcomed city officials, local business executives, members of the press, and Mission Bay residents for a ribbon cutting ceremony for their brand-new, state-of-the-art Mission Bay Childcare Center. The center will serve over 60 families with children ages 3 months to 5 years.
The ceremony was hosted by Renel Brooks-Moon, public address announcer for the San Francisco Giants, alongside Mayor London Breed, Assemblymember David Chiu, District 6 Supervisor Matt Haney, SF Chamber of Commerce CEO Rodney Fong, Dion Lim, news anchor and reporter for KGO-TV/ABC and executives from Uber, the Golden State Warriors, and Alexandria Real Estate Equities! It ended with a traditional Lion Dance and tours of the center.
“Mission Bay is lucky because they are not just getting a childcare center, they are getting a community organization that helps to build community, that helps to invest in the community, that ensures that not only are our children going to be healthy, but they are going to be providing services that ensure the family overall is healthy.” – San Francisco Mayor London Breed (Watch the ribbon cutting ceremony)
TEL HI Mission Bay Childcare Center is projected to open in September 2021.
