DESCRIPTION:Provide a Thanksgiving Meal to a Family or Senior in Need This Holiday Season \nNormally\, this time of year\, TEL HI Neighborhood Center would host its annual Free Community Thanksgiving Dinner for over 500 people in San Francisco. However\, this year things are far from normal! Due to COVID-19 for the first time in 41 years\, we cannot host this special community gathering\, which many people have come to depend on as the highlight of their Thanksgiving holiday. Since we’re unable to host dinner at our Center\, we want to bring dinner to the homes of families and seniors who were counting on the TEL HI community to provide a warm meal. \nWe Need Your Help to Continue this Special Community Tradition \nPlease join us and help bring a holiday meal to those who may go without one. Our goal is to raise $5\,000 to feed 100 families and seniors in the community. For $50 you can provide a traditional Thanksgiving dinner for a family of six\, complete with turkey and all the “fixins.” \nThis year\, the need for community is stronger than ever! DESCRIPTION:TEL HI’s Infant Toddler & Preschool Program will host its first ever Multicultural Event on Tuesday\, May 22 from 2-4 PM in TEL HI’s gym! \nThe event will feature videos\, clothes\, information and more from different cultures from around the world! There will also be delicious food stations showcasing favorite dishes from different cultures. Food can be purchased for $5 a plate at each food station! \nAll proceeds raised at this event will go towards TEL HI’s after-school program at Galileo Academy of Science and Technology. Our program will no longer be funded in the 2018-2019 school year and unless we can make up this funding\, we will have to end this program by May 30\, which means the over 600 students currently enrolled will have no place to go after school and at least seven staff will be displaced. Without an after-school program\, the youth at Galileo will have nowhere to go to receive tutoring\, access to extracurricular activities and access to emotional support systems in the forms of clubs\, alliances\, and social groups. \nTo RSVP please email Connie Luu at CLuu@telhi.org
