Position: Family Engagement Coordinator
Reports to: Beacon Director
Work schedule: Full-Time (may be open to part-time)
Salary: $24/hour

Organizational Description: Telegraph Hill Neighborhood Center (TEL HI) is a nonprofit organization. TEL HI provides services and advocacy for SF residents. Focusing on low – moderate-income children, youth, families, and seniors, TEL HI creates and strengthens community bonds, provides health and wellness programs, and broadens educational and cultural experiences. With its diverse array of programs and services in multiple locations, TEL HI serves over 1000 people each day.

Program Overview: The North Beach-Chinatown Beacon Center at Francisco Middle School provides youth, families and community members with safe and engaging programming, offering academic support, enrichment, recreation, employment, and youth development opportunities. Activities and services are offered during the school day, after school, during evenings, and weekends throughout the year at Francisco Middle school.

Position Overview: The Beacon at Francisco Middle School is creating a new position for the Family Engagement coordinator, which will be an instrumental part of our team’s mission and vision. We need candidates who are fluent in Spanish and can move between the two languages with ease, who feel comfortable designing and distributing promotional materials for events and programs, who understand the needs of families and who want to be part of building effective systems to help parents support their children’s learning. This role will coordinate directly with Francisco’s family liaison and administrative team and work closely with the director of Beacon programs.
